World of Warcraft Item Upgrades The upgrading of your equipment is an essential part of equipping your character. Upgrades increase item damage and enchantments. If item upgrade have a trinket which requires upgrading, place it in the Anvil to do so. This will have an effect on the trinket that is random that will either enhance or intensify its effects. You can reuse the Trinket as many times as you'd like but it will always have the same effect. You can also enhance your Trinkets by placing them in a Magical Catalyst located at the Alchemy Station. It will cost you 6 energy and boost the trinket's power by just a little.
